The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, is a story of a young Jewish girl named Liesel Meminger. However, the story is told through the eyes of Death instead of Liesel. The story covers the entire story of Liesel's life as a "book thief" while she has to learn to cope without her brother or mother. Not only does she have to get used to the new version of her hometown, Munich, Hitler's reign of terror, and her new parents, she has realize that Death is secretly perched on her shoulder, watching her every second she breathes...
